Watch Boxes

A watch collection outgrows a bedside drawer quickly. This shelf covers the three ways of fixing that: a display box that stays at home, a zipped travel case that goes in the carry-on, and a soft watch roll that folds around a watch or three for a weekend away.

The display boxes run from a single-watch box up to 12 slots, taking in 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 10-slot layouts along the way. Most are lined in velvet with removable cushions so the strap sits open rather than folded, and several have a glass lid so you can see what is in there without opening it. Materials are brushed walnut, maple and mahogany, PU leather, carbon-fibre pattern, bamboo and wood grain, in black, brown, navy, olive, gunmetal and saddle tan.

Travel cases are the smaller, tougher format — leather or carbon fibre, a zip enclosure, and 2 to 8 cut-out slots divided so the cases do not touch each other in a bag. Watch rolls do the same job with less bulk, in single and 3-slot versions. If you are buying for someone who travels for work, the case is usually the more useful gift; if the watches live on a dresser, the box is.

Sizing is the one thing worth checking. Slot and cushion dimensions vary between models, so compare the measurements on the product page against the largest watch going into it before you order. We do not list compatibility with particular watch brands.
